The History of Princess Rescues.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess who crashed in a tunnel and died. Tunnels were uncommon in the Middle Ages, which was the highest rated period in history for princesses and princess rescues. In 1184 there were just over 800 princesses rescued, 312 of those from dragons. Princess rescues continued to rise throughout the 13th century, reaching almost 3400 in the winter of 1268-69 alone, due to especially icy conditions in Europe. This was compounded by the fact many princesses were stupid at that time, possibly from eating lead. Whereas rescues up until the mid 13th century most often involved witches or dragons, by 1270 the most common cause for rescue was “entanglement, rosebush” followed closely by “entanglement, yarn”. Dragons were finally replaced by steam trains in 1841.

I once lived with a princess, in the early 90’s. Found out she was getting rescued on the side. Apparently my pedestal wasn’t high enough

Some one once said that when it doesn't work out, with your lover. You are just getting closer to the one you are meant to be with. I guess that works?!
